Heather Sproat was raised in Medicine Hat, Alberta where she obtained her diploma in Graphic Design from Medicine Hat College, and later received a BFA from the University of Lethbridge.

After meeting her partner in 2004, she moved across Canada to Moncton, New Brunswick where for nearly a decade they operated a successful commercial and wedding photography business. The duo offered their graphic design services, photography skills, and custom framing expertise to round out the customer’s experience; offering a one-stop shop, to complete the package. During this time, Heather was set-up in the Aberdeen Cultural Centre, where she was the resident expert framer for artists and clients, from the Maritimes and around the world.

Looking for a new adventure, Heather began to focus on a new hobby, turned passion.
She explored and developed her love of working with clay through Production Pottery classes at the New Brunswick Craft College.

Heather now creates with clay from her quaint, in-home pottery studio. Continual inspiration from her surroundings and environment lead her to limitless exploration within the medium of ceramics.
